Issue Position: Spending

I can't stress this enough. Spending is a tax before it becomes a tax. At a state level we do not have the ability to print cash so we have to raise taxes if we decide to spend more. We can delay the payments through bonds and other various loans but at the end of the day we have to pay for whatever our state may do financially. The country on the other hand can sell T-Bills or print money. Thank god the states do not have this power. I think our state has a massive spending problem. How can we elect a group of republicans (sorry guys) in 2010 to only get there and spend 5 billion more? Holy cow 5 billion!

I bleed purple but could also tell you that building a stadium for millionaire players was bad move. The Vikings have many fans and lots of support. Get your own money and build your own place to play football. I will again say I am HUGE football (in 2 fantasy leagues) fan and HUGE Vikings fan but I do not think that my friends who do not support a professional football team should have to pay for them. Ask anyone and they would say the same thing. A good business stands on its own.

Our government has become so big we cannot possibly know where our money (Your hard Labor) is going. This has to end. Government should be simple and therefore be simple to account for. I demand better as a citizen. I own this government and so do you. How dare they make it so complicated we lose them in the details.
